I love working with Joomla and it is especially a fantastic content management system that allows the client to have plans and intentions for the website to grow. Updating your copy and adding pages to your website is very important if you want to do well in the search engines. There are many things that is important when it comes to search engine optimisation and a few things to think about when you plan your website and write the content is:

• Choose your most important and best keywords or keyword phrase
  Without proper keyword research your future efforts could be in vain. To help you find the most effective keywords for your business take a look at Google Keywords Tool.

• Meta Codes
  You need to have good Meta tags, meta title, meta description, meta keywords. These are all codes that you have easy access to in a website build in Joomla. Some websites, as a html build website, you might have to ask your webdesigner for help.
  Meta codes need to reflekt the content of your page, your copy. The words you use in your meta codes needs to be present in the text and you should focus on your keywords or your keyword phrase.
  The meta description tag is often the text displayed in the search engine results. A good description can dramatically improve the chances of a visitor clicking your link rather than your competitors.

• Write your copy / text with your keywords in mind
  You will benefit to have good related words in your text as well. You keywords or keyword phrase should be present on every page if possible.

• Headings
  You page can have many headings. The headings have a special code in the coding sytem and the search engines will read the heading as something very important and relevant to the page. If your heading is "About me", the search in Google would be "about me" to find this page, probably not what you want. More correct would be "About Jaroslava Vagner at vagner.co.uk webdesign" or something similar.
  Devide your page into many headings if possible.
  Use your keywords.
